Campouts and Events of 2024

 During 2024 Troop 173 had a load full of mezmorizing activities!!!


Dec 21: The troop had traveled to Rock City Garden, with their families. From the top they could see seven states, a very serene view!!


Nov 23: The boys had gone to the movies to watch The Wild Robot. They were excited to see the story come to life on the big screen, as a few of them had enjoyed reading the book. After the movie, they couldn't stop talking about their favorite scenes and characters.


October 14: The troop had gone to Spookeree to volunteer and have fun with the young Cub Scouts. They helped organize activities and assisted the Cubs with various tasks, such as working at a stem show and helping cubs at cope and climbing. In the process, they gained 8 hours of volunteer experience, all while making a positive impact on the younger scouts.



August 9-10: The Troop went camping at Red Top Mountain, where they had a blast kayaking and canoeing on Lake Allatoona. They enjoyed the outdoor adventure and made great memories while exploring the beautiful surroundings.


September 3-4: The troop went camping at the Allatoona Aquatics Base Camp and despite the strong thunderstoms, the boys widstanded the weather and enjoyed the experience while playing pickleball.


June 2-7: The troop went to summer camp at Bert Adams having a blast while knocking out numerous merit badges in the process.

 During 2023, the troop had a list of activities with life-lasting memories. Oct 7 : The troop had went out to go camp in the cold in below freezing temprature, earning themselves a bareclaw, creating a remarkable memory for everyone. The troop had also gone on a safari, where they saw a variety of exotic animals up close, while also getting to feed a few from a car. March 17 : The troop also went bowling, knocking over pins, cheering each other on, laughing at the occasional gutter ball, and enjoying a fun-filled evening together as they bonded over friendly competition and shared snacks. July 14 : The troop had conducted a Court of Honor, with many scouts proudly earning merit badges and advancing in rank, as friends and family gathered to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and achievements in scouting. June 19 : The troop had went on the Jimmy carter train ride where they learnt a lot about how Jimmy Carter's life was as he grew up, and how he got to where he is today.

Events Of 2022!

During 2022, troop 173 has had a stock full of activities!: Dec. 19: We had a court of honor where most of scouts gained a rank and even became new Eagle Scouts! Dec. 20: Our troop went for an outing to "The Escapery" at 1349 Old 41 Highway Northwest Marietta, GA 30060 to do an escape room in which they were able to escape from with 5 minutes remaining. A really thrilling mindworker.
